Fire Sprinkler Systems

Sprinkler Systems are often considered to be the most effective method of controlling fires.

Fully compliant automatic sprinkler systems can quickly detect a fire, transmit signals to the Fire Service, alert the occupants and begin applying water to control the fire control to give time for the occupants to escape and minimizing the effects that a fire could have on property.

Fire Hydrant & Charged Riser Systems
Fire Hydrant and Charged Riser Systems are a critical component in the Fire service’s arsenal when it comes fighting fires and carrying out search and rescue operations within the building.

Argus Fire Protection can provide full design and installation services solutions to meet the specific requirements of your site or building.

Fire Hose Reels & Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers and hosereels are often the first line of defence in fire fighting and their correct use can significantly reduce the damage caused by a fire.

Preaction Sprinkler Systems

Preaction sprinkler systems are utilised in situations where a greater level of security against false discharge of water is required such as computer server and PLC control rooms.

Argus Fire Protection is able to offer a range of Preaction systems to suit your specific needs.

Dry Systems (Freezer Solutions)
A dry pipe installation is a sprinkler installation in which the installation pipe work is permanently charged with gas under pressure above the control valves. These installations are used in environments where ambient temperatures drop to freezing point such as freezers, chillers and areas where the atmospheric temperature can drop to freezing.

Foam Systems

Foam deluge and foam sprinkler systems are utilised to protect specialist risks involving the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids such as bulk storage tanks, warehouse storage of flammable and combustible liquids, aircraft hangars, heliports and truck loading areas.

Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems

Gaseous fire suppression systems (also referred to as clean agent systems) are utilised to protect high value assets such as computer server rooms, PLC control rooms, storage of irreplaceable artefacts where a high level of fire protection is required and the use of water or other suppressant agents would be damaging to the protected equipment.

Emergency Lighting
An emergency light is a battery-backed lighting device that comes on automatically when a building experiences a power outage or in the event of fire. Emergency lights are standard in new commercial and high occupancy residential buildings, such as college dormitories. The NZ building codes require that they be installed in older buildings as well.
