Our Management Team

Jacqui Bensemann
Managing Director

Overseeing Argus Fire Protection business operations and client relationships is Managing Director Jacqui Bensemann. Jacqui has 25 years experience in the fields of banking, public accountancy, management consultancy and general management both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Her experience encompasses fourteen years exclusively in the fire protection industry.

Bryce Donaldson
Regional Manager

With 24 years experience in the fire protection industry, Bryce Donaldson is Argus' Regional Manager. Bryce has worked in a vast range of positions over that time including Cadet, Fire Alarm Installation Technician, Project Manager, Alarms Systems Estimator and Alarm Service Manager. This diversity and wealth of experience makes Bryce invaluable in his current role and allows him to better understand and meet our clients' expectations. Bryce holds the National Certificate Fixed Fire Protection Systems Level 4, National Certificate Detection & Alarm Systems Level 4, National Certificate in Fire Protection Systems Technology (Inspection & Testing) Level 4, Electrical Registration (EWRB), National I.Q.P. in Fire Protection and is a Registered Fire Tech Assessor.

Laurie McArthur
Waikato / BOP Regional Manager

Laurie McArthur has 30 years experience in the fire protection industry both in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, and along with his strong background in the fire protection industry he has exceptional knowledge in sprinkler and related systems. He has a Masters in Project Management and a NZ Certificate in Engineering. Laurie has spent a number of years working in the Central North Island and Bay of Plenty regions where he has had hands-on design and project management experience on all types of fire protection projects which include power generation plants, Defence Force projects, high rise buildings, shopping malls, industrial complexes and correction facilities.

Ben Hanif
Financial Controller

Ben Hanif is the Financial Controller of the Argus Group of Companies. Ben has experience of over 22 years in Financial and Management Accounting being involved from corporate New Zealand to midsize companies. He has been in the Fire Industry for the last 6 years. Ben also spearheads the Technology for the company.

Aaron Willoughby
National Technology and Strategy Manager

Aaron joined the Argus Group in 2003 having completed tertiary studies in computers and multimedia.

Aaron commenced in the business as a fire alarm technician and his leadership and technical skills have seen him follow a promotional path from Supervisor, Alarms Manager, Contracts Manager, Branch Manager and then into his current role as Company Technology & Strategy Manager.
Aaron is responsible for implementing business strategies and technology across the company thereby future proofing the business and retaining Argus's position as industry leaders. This covers both internal technical infrastructure and external technical research and support for our clients and for the Argus team.
Over his time with Argus, Aaron has been involved with providing technical support, design assistance and project management for specialist high end fire alarm and special hazard projects. Aaron has estimated, project managed and been involved as a consultant in the design stage with some of the largest projects in the Central North Island - for example the Kawerau and Nga Awa Purua Geothermal Power Stations, the new Rotorua Hospital Project, the Te Mihi Geothermal Power Station and the Datacom Project Kapua.
